Celebrating Success: Our Admiral Nurses Accepted onto the NIHR Social Care Nurse Research Internship
We are delighted to share some wonderful news from Dementia Resource Community. Both of our Admiral Nurses have been successful in gaining a place on the NIHR Researcher Development Programme for Social Care Nurses as Social Care Nurse Research Interns.
This is a fantastic achievement and a real reflection of their commitment to improving dementia care through learning, evidence, curiosity and practice development. The programme will support them to develop their research skills over the next year, beginning in October 2026, and will provide valuable opportunities to explore how research can strengthen social care nursing and improve outcomes for people living with dementia and their families.
Cathrina Moore, Clinical Lead for Dementia Resource Community, said:
“I am absolutely delighted that both of our Admiral Nurses have been successful. This is a brilliant achievement and a testament to their dedication, professionalism and passion for improving dementia care. Research in social care nursing is so important, and this opportunity will not only support their own development but also strengthen the work we do across our services.”
At Dementia Resource Community, we are passionate about person-led, evidence-informed dementia care. Supporting our nurses to take part in research and development opportunities helps us continue to grow, learn and bring the best possible practice into the communities and care homes we work alongside.
A huge congratulations to both of our Admiral Nurses — we are incredibly proud of you.
